GST Return Filing: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and Annual Returns

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Accurate, on-time GST returns protect your input tax credit and your customers’ credit. Our team prepares and files your monthly or quarterly returns, reconciles purchases through the Invoice Management System and handles the annual return.

Overview

Which GST returns you file and when

  • GSTR-1 (outward supplies) — by the 11th of the following month for monthly filers.
  • GSTR-3B (summary return and tax payment) — by the 20th of the following month.
  • QRMP scheme — businesses with turnover up to ₹5 crore can file quarterly: GSTR-1 by the 13th and GSTR-3B by the 22nd or 24th (depending on the state), paying tax monthly.
  • Invoice Management System (IMS) — you accept, reject or keep pending supplier invoices before credit flows into GSTR-2B and GSTR-3B.

Two changes from 2025 matter: the tax liability in GSTR-3B auto-filled from GSTR-1 can no longer be edited from the July 2025 period (corrections go through GSTR-1A first), and returns cannot be filed more than three years after their due date. For FY 2025-26, GSTR-9 is optional up to ₹2 crore turnover and GSTR-9C applies above ₹5 crore, both due by 31 December 2026.

Based on the CGST Act, 2017, CGST Rules and GSTN advisories. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
