When a business dispute goes to NCLT, a commercial court, arbitration or a regulator, the outcome often depends on how well the records and chronology are prepared. Expertvuw’s team organises documents, compliance records and timelines, while representation is handled by independent advocates you engage.
Business disputes in India are heard in several forums. Company law matters — such as oppression and mismanagement, shareholder disputes, schemes and certain compliance matters — go before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), with appeals to the NCLAT. Insolvency cases under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code are also heard by the NCLT.
Commercial disputes of specified value are heard by commercial courts under the Commercial Courts Act, 2015, which requires pre-institution mediation in suits that do not seek urgent relief. Many contracts send disputes to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Regulatory matters involve bodies such as SEBI, RBI, the Registrar of Companies and tax authorities.
Across all of these, strong cases rest on complete records: board minutes, registers, filings, contracts, correspondence and a clear chronology. Expertvuw supports this preparation; appearance and arguments are the role of advocates.
Basis: Companies Act, 2013 (sections 241–244 and NCLT jurisdiction); Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; Commercial Courts Act, 2015 (section 12A); Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
