Grants let startups fund prototypes, trials and early growth without giving up equity. Expertvuw’s team helps DPIIT-recognised startups find programmes that match their sector and stage, and prepare applications that clearly show the problem, solution and milestones.
Non-dilutive funding for Indian startups comes from several sources. Central programmes include the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (through incubators), department-specific programmes for biotechnology, electronics and IT, agriculture and social innovation, and challenge-based grants run by ministries and public agencies. Many are delivered through incubators and technology business incubators rather than directly.
Most states have startup policies offering support such as seed grants, sustenance allowances, patent filing reimbursements, lease rental subsidies and marketing assistance, typically for startups registered or operating in that state and recognised by DPIIT or the state startup cell.
Programmes open and close in cycles and change their criteria, so eligibility and deadlines should always be checked on the official scheme pages. Grants usually come with milestone-based disbursement and reporting.
