ISO 14001 helps organisations manage their environmental impacts and legal obligations in a structured way. Expertvuw’s team identifies your environmental aspects and compliance obligations, builds the EMS and prepares you for audit under the 2026 revision.
ISO 14001 sets requirements for an environmental management system (EMS). It asks an organisation to identify the environmental aspects of its activities — such as emissions, effluents, waste, energy and resource use — assess their impacts, meet its compliance obligations, set objectives and improve performance over time.
ISO published ISO 14001:2026 in April 2026, replacing ISO 14001:2015. Existing certificates must move to the new version within the transition period set by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
In India, an EMS is closely linked to legal requirements such as consents from the State Pollution Control Board, hazardous waste rules and EPR obligations. A well-run EMS keeps these on one register with clear owners and due dates.
Basis: ISO 14001:2026 (published April 2026) and ISO 14001:2015; IAF transition guidance; Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and related rules for compliance obligations. Last updated: 27 September 2026.

Gap analysis, documentation and audit readiness are handled by Expertvuw’s team. Certificates are issued only by independent certification bodies after their own audit; we recommend bodies accredited by NABCB or another IAF member accreditation body.
