Last updated: 2 October 2026
NGO Darpan is the NITI Aayog portal where voluntary organisations and NGOs sign up to get a unique ID. The ID is used when applying for grants under government schemes, and many ministries, CSR partners and funders ask for it. We prepare the details, complete the sign-up and keep the profile updated.
NGO Darpan (ngodarpan.gov.in) is maintained by NITI Aayog as a common interface between voluntary organisations and government ministries and departments. An organisation that signs up receives a unique ID, and its details, such as registration, key members, activities and funding, are recorded on the portal.
Many ministries and departments require the NGO Darpan unique ID from organisations applying for grants under their schemes. The portal verifies details such as the organisation’s PAN and the particulars of its key members.
Registration on NGO Darpan is not a licence or a tax registration. The organisation must already be registered as a trust, society or Section 8 company, and tax registration, CSR-1 and FCRA are separate processes.
Based on the NGO Darpan portal maintained by NITI Aayog; scheme-specific requirements are checked for each application. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
