A financial model turns your business plan into numbers — revenue drivers, costs, hiring, cash burn and funding needs. Expertvuw’s team builds clear, driver-based models in Excel or Google Sheets that founders can update and investors can stress-test.
A useful financial model links assumptions to outputs. Revenue is built from drivers — such as customers, conversion, pricing, retention and orders — rather than a single growth percentage. Costs are split into variable costs, headcount plans and fixed overheads. The model produces a profit and loss statement, cash flow and balance sheet, along with unit economics (for example, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value and contribution margin), cash burn, runway and funding requirement.
Investors look for assumptions that are grounded in actual data, sensitivity to key drivers, and consistency with the pitch deck. Lenders focus more on cash flows and debt service coverage. Models used for valuation reports, ESOP planning or budgeting need to tie back to audited financials and tax treatment.
A clean structure — separate inputs, calculations and outputs, with no hard-coded numbers in formulas — makes the model easy to update each month.
Basis: Standard financial modelling practice; Indian accounting framework (Ind AS / AS) and tax treatment for projections used in valuations and lender submissions. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
